Easy Crochet Baby Blanket

EASY ‘DONE IN A DAY’ CROCHET BABY BLANKET

SKILL LEVEL: EASY

MATERIALS:
Hook: U.S. L/8.00mm
Size 5 Bulky Weight Yarn – We’ve put together a gorgeous yarn kit for this project using Cascade 128 Superwash. It’s a 100% gorgeous merino wool and it’s absolutely the softest and most cuddly yarn I know of. You need approx 750 yards or 6 skeins of the Cascade 128 Superwash. You can get the kit here.

ABBREVIATIONS:
st = stitch
ch = chain
dc = double crochet

FINISHED SIZE: 32” x 32”

PATTERN:

Chain 66 in White (made in multiples of 2 if you’d like it smaller or larger)

Row 1: 2dc in the 4th ch from the hook, *skip 1 ch, 2dc in next ch*, repeat across entire row ending with a dc in the last ch. turn.

Row 2: Ch 3. Skip the first dc and dc twice into the space between the next group of 2 dcs. *Go to the next group of 2 dc’s and dc twice into the space between*, repeat until the end of the row ending with a dc in the last dc.

Rows 3 – 52: Repeat row 2. Bind off and weave in ends.

COLOR CHANGES:

Rows 5-6: Taupe
Rows 7-8: Denim
Rows 9-12: White
Rows 13-14: Taupe
Rows 15-16: Denim
Rows 17-20: White
Rows 21-22: Taupe
Rows 23-24: Denim
